Born in Armenia, Samuel Abramiam studied dance at the Bolchoï Academy in Moscow. During his career he was invited as a guest artist in several notable companies of the Soviet Union and abroad, including the National Ballet of Poland and Tokyo Ballet. The government of Armenia acknowledged his contribution to the field of the arts in rewarding him with great distinction in 1978. In the United States of America, he danced with Ballet Austin (Texas), Colorado Ballet, The Albany Berkshire Ballet, and Northwest Florida Ballet. Throughout the years, he had the chance to tour to France, Argentina, North Africa and the Middle East. He has taught in Armenia but also in such companies as the Tokyo Ballet, Las Vegas Civic Ballet, Massachusetts Performing Arts School and the Nevada Dance Theatre. Since 1997, he is teaching boys’ classes at l’École supérieure.
