L’École supérieure de ballet du Québec will be taking part in the Assemblée Internationale 2013, which is taking place from April 28th to May 5th in Toronto, and which will bring together the world’s top professional ballet schools.
Hosted for the second time by Canada’s National Ballet School’s Artistic Director, Mavis Staines, the festival will assemble aspiring future professional dancers in an international ballet forum.
Stéphanie Audet and Pier-Loup Lacour, two college students, will join L’École supérieure’s Artistic Director, Anik Bissonnette, in Toronto. They will present a new work by renowned and sought-after choreographer James Gregg, currently a dancer with Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal.
“For the students representing L’École supérieure, this is a remarkable opportunity for them to shine among promising dancers from Canada, the Americas, Europe and Oceania,” said Bissonnette. “For the artistic directors, this is an exceptional opportunity to share our passion and expertise in the transmission of ballet as an art form.”
Stéphanie Audet will also be maintaining a blog about her experience in the coming weeks.
