As their instructors and artistic director have done before them, the students and alumni of L’École supérieure de ballet du Québec are appearing in various productions of this magical ballet.
The traditional collaboration between our institution and the company also founded by Ludmilla Chiriaeff has continued for nearly half a century.
In 2012, the Grands Ballets is counting on some 40 performers from L’École supérieure, not only to fill the many children’s roles, but also to dance in the Land of Snow. The complete list of dancers and full performance details are found in the Coming Soon section.
In addition, several college-level dancers have already taken part in shows put on by Ballet Ouest de Montréal between November 28 and December 8 in Montreal and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Stéphanie Audet and Pier-Loup Lacour danced the pas de deux in the Land of Snow. Solveig Chicoisne, Maryline Cyr, Charlotte Goulet-Paradis, Saskya Pauzé-Bégin and Anna Semenchouk (who graduated in 2012) also performed various roles.
As the holidays approach, L’École supérieure takes great pleasure in seeing our dancers share their talent and enthusiasm on venerable stages, alongside such seasoned professionals as Jean-Sébastien Couture and Marie-Ève Lapointe.
