Pierre A. Goulet

Pierre Goulet is an entrepreneur who has worked mainly in the field of specialized printing. He holds a BAA from the University of Sherbrooke and an MBA from Laval University. He is now in early retirement and devotes himself mainly to his volunteer work in the cultural life of Quebec.

He has been a member of the OSM Board for 15 years and was President of the OSM Competition for five years. He finishes in 2022 a mandate as president of the CIOC (Canadian International Organ Competition) and was until 2020 president of the Opéra de Québec.

Pierre Goulet is the honour president of Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI) of which he was president for 8 years. He also served on the board of Jeunesses Musicales of Canada (JMC) for 25 years and on the board of the JM World Orchestra for 20 years.

Pierre has also been very active in his home region of the Estrie area, as President of Orford Musique and the Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra (SSO), among others. Moreover, the OSS, the JMI and the JMC have recognized his volunteer commitment by awarding him several distinctions.

A music lover, a great traveler and defender of culture as a tool for personal and societal development, Pierre has been a member of the ESBQ board since 2008.
