Chléa Giguère dreamed of dancing for Nederlands Dans Theater. Now it's a reality. At 19, the young woman is one of only a handful of Canadian dancers to perform with this world-renowned conxmporary dance company.
La Presse met young Chléa in November 2019 at the École supérieure du ballet du Québec. Firstly, because she had just won the role of Clara - in the ballet The Nutcracker - for the second year running. But also because of her brilliant performances on Révolution and La France a un incroyable talent.
During this interview, Chléa Giguère, who was barely 14 at the time, told us that she wanted to pursue a career as a professional dancer. The clear-headed girl had gone further. She had targeted three companies that made her dream come true: Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, New York City Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT).

For the start of the 2025 school year, the École supérieure is offering a new Multidanses program for students in Secondary 1 and 2. The program invites students to discover a wide variety of styles, from contemporary dance to flamenco, street dance and ballet.
