The École supérieure de ballet du Québec Foundation supports the next generation of dancers
On October 27, 2025, the École supérieure de ballet du Québec and its Foundation brought together donors, students, and families for a ceremony marked by emotion and gratitude toward dance and those who support it. For the second consecutive year, named scholarships were awarded to several deserving students, highlighting the generosity of patrons and companies committed to supporting the next generation of artists. Hosted by Anik Bissonnette, Artistic Director of the École supérieure, and Etienne Lavigne, Co-Chair of the Foundation's Board of Directors, the ceremony highlighted the tangible impact of philanthropy on the careers of young dancers at the ESBQ.
This edition marked the creation of an annual tribute scholarship, dedicated each year to an inspiring figure from the École supérieure community. The first was named in honor of Raphaël Bouchard, an exceptional dancer, ESBQ graduate, and former principal dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. His exemplary career and passion for dance will continue to inspire the next generation.
The Foundation also recognizes the remarkable contribution of CEL Aerospace Test Equipment, which has committed to donating $75,000 over three years to support the training of young artists.
This year's scholarships reflect the commitment of numerous partners and donors to supporting the talent, perseverance, and passion of students. The ceremony also gives students the opportunity to realize that behind every donation are people, stories, and acts of generosity that give deep meaning to their journey and encourage them to pursue their dreams. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, more than $60,000 was awarded to 33 students at ESBQ.
