Anna Bussey

Anna graduated with honors from the École supérieure de ballet du Québec (ESBQ) professional program in 1995. She then completed her dance training at the John Cranko Ballett Schule in Stuttgart, followed by a professional career in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, and Spain, notably with Dansgroep de Meekers, the Zappalà Danza Company, the Thor Company, and the Copenhagen International Ballet, with renowned choreographers such as Cathy Marston, Christopher Hampson, Itzik Galili, and Alexei Ratmansky.

As a teacher, she has 20 years of experience teaching dance and Gyrokinesis in schools and dance companies, including: Dansgroep de Meekers (NL), Compagnie Zappalà Danza (IT), Cirque du Soleil (CA), Centro Maxime d'Harroche (ES), and Ibuka Dance Foundation (TZ). Anna founded Ibuka Dance Foundation in Tanzania in 2014 and built a studio theater in Arusha, with a dance diploma program and a dance company that has a positive social impact.

Anna returned to Quebec in 2018 after a quarter of a century abroad and has been teaching ballet at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec and Les Grands Ballets Studios ever since. She develops and shares her PhysioFlow™️ therapeutic movement method and also works as a massage therapist and craniosacral therapist.
