2026 Graduation Ceremony: Celebrating the Journey So Far

On June 2, 2026, the École supérieure de ballet du Québec celebrated the achievements of its graduates at the graduation ceremony.

This ceremony marked the culmination of the journey for ten graduates of the professional performance program, who are now preparing to embark on the next stage of their careers. Diplomas were also awarded to 11th-grade students who completed the Advanced Cycle.

The event also served to recognize the achievements of five teachers who earned their graduate degrees in classical dance education.

Training artists… and those who will pass on their art

Since its founding by Ludmilla Chiriaeff 60 years ago, the École supérieure has been guided by the conviction that the future of dance depends as much on performers as on those who pass on their knowledge.

The classical dance education program combines practice, pedagogy, and critical thinking to prepare future teachers for their profession and leads to an Attestation of College Studies (AEC).

Awards Recognizing Excellence and Commitment

Thanks to the generosity of partners committed to fostering the next generation of artists, several awards were presented to the Class of 2026 during the ceremony.

  • Carola Talarico received the Danse Danse Award.
  • Anaël Tigiffon was awarded the Agora de la danse Award.
  • Emma Perron and Natasha Pazhouhandeh-Asi received the Grands Ballets Canadiens Award.

These distinctions reflect the professional community’s recognition and support for emerging artists trained at the ESBQ.

Once again, our heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, students, and teachers honored on this day.
