
Aicha Ben Chaaboune at Rambert: An Outstanding International Career
From Montreal to London, and through some of the leading dance companies in Canada and Europe, Aicha Ben Chaaboune continues to build a rich and international artistic career.
A graduate of the École supérieure de ballet du Québec in 2020, the Montreal-born artist of Moroccan origin has been a member of Rambert since early 2026, one of the United Kingdom’s most renowned contemporary dance companies.
Following her training at ESBQ, Aicha quickly gained a wide range of experience and collaborations, including dancing with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Cas Public and Ballets Jazz Montréal, where she performed works by renowned choreographers such as Hélène Blackburn, Aszure Barton, Andonis Foniadakis and Crystal Pite.
Her career then took her to European stages. In 2025, she worked notably as a rehearsal director with Europa Danse Company in Brussels, before continuing her collaborations with various choreographers across Europe and the United Kingdom, including Lea Ved, William Pegna and Charlotte Edmonds.

Aicha’s career illustrates the richness of the paths that can emerge from the École supérieure, as well as the importance of versatility, adaptability and artistic curiosity in the career of a performer.
