L'École supérieure at the Assemblée Internationale (AI23

We are excited to announce that L'École supérieure de ballet du Québec will be participating in the fourth Assemblée Internationale (AI23).

Hosted by Canada’s National Ballet School, this event will welcome students and artistic staff from 37 international dance training schools and organizations!

We are proud to be represented at this event by Anik Bissonnette, Andrea Boardman and our students Tuesday Rain Leduc, Anaïs Roy, Nickolas Anderson and Shô Araki.

In-person programming will take place in Toronto from April 30-May 6, 2023, with blended cast performances created by Canadian and international guest choreographers to celebrate the rich artistry of young dancers.

In recognition of the imperative for systemic change within the art form of ballet, AI23 will be centred on anti-Black racism. Acknowledging that the seven days of the festival won’t be enough to cover the depth required of these discussions and explorations, the festival will be in three phases for participating schools and organizations: Educational Lead-up, In-Person Programming, Call to Action.
