Our pianist Jakub Tokarczyk, aka Kuba T, on Télé-Québec’s Piano Public
We are very proud to highlight the participation of our pianist Jakub Tokarczyk, known by his stage name Kuba T, in Télé-Québec’s Piano Public!
He is one of ten candidates selected to take part in the second season of this televised music competition, hosted by Gregory Charles and Viviane Audet. Throughout the episodes, the participants take on a variety of challenges that put their creativity, originality, and ability to think outside the box to the test.
A multi-talented musician
Based in Montreal, Jakub Tokarczyk works across several artistic fields, including music for film, animation and dance, as well as sound design. His journey has taken him from Poland to France and Quebec. He studied film scoring at the Université de Montréal, holds a master’s degree from the MAAAV program at Université Lumière Lyon 2, and also earned a jazz piano diploma from the Conservatoire de Gennevilliers.
At the École supérieure de ballet du Québec, Jakub puts his musical creativity at the service of students as a rehearsal pianist and head of sound resources. His experience working with dancers is a natural extension of his artistic approach, where music, movement, and improvisation come together.
