Béatrice Mathieu

In 2014, Béatrice joined the professional program at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec. It was through meeting Mr. Vincent Warren that she developed an interest in the Dance Library, which she would visit throughout her dance studies. These formative years provided her with rich and diverse experience working with numerous renowned teachers and choreographers.

Wishing to deepen her knowledge of performance and the performing arts, Béatrice pursued a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in theatre before beginning her university studies. In 2024, she obtained a certificate in archival studies from the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information at the Université de Montréal. At the same time, she worked as a digitization technical assistant at the Université de Montréal’s Registrar’s Office. In 2026, she completed a multidisciplinary bachelor’s degree combining communication, archival studies, and art history.

Passionate about preserving the history of dance and cultural memory, Béatrice joined the Vincent-Warren Dance Library, where she initially worked as a documentation technician for one year before becoming an archivist-documentalist in 2025. Her background, at the intersection of dance, the performing arts, archival studies, and art history, fuels her interest in preserving, promoting, and transmitting cultural heritage.
