Olivia Saint-Jacques

In 2004, Olivia Saint-Jacques joined the professional program at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec. During her dance studies, she acquired a wide range of knowledge by working with various renowned teachers and choreographers.

During her training, she showed a growing interest in contemporary dance, which added another string to her bow. She performs works from the contemporary repertoire such as Rossini Cards while having the chance to dance in The Nutcracker by the company Ballet Ouest. She also explored the world of circus and danced for the Cirque du Soleil's C2-Montreal event.

In 2011, she is approached by Christine Williams who offers her the opportunity to become an assistant at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec recreational division. From there, she discovered her passion for teaching dance. As soon as she graduated, she started teaching classical and contemporary dance for various schools. She also began her training as a dance teacher in order to perfect her knowledge.
Olivia also participated in her school's Choreographer's Apprentice Program and won the Audience Award two years in a row. She also became the first student at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec to create a piece for college students. In 2017, she was commissioned by L'École supérieure de ballet du Québec to create a piece for the show Corps de Ballet. This privilege gives her the opportunity to broaden her knowledge in dance and to develop her creativity.
